Smidt Tech made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Animo De La Hoya, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Grey Wolves blew past the Boxers 3-0 on Monday. The Grey Wolves not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th.

Smidt Tech never let Animo De La Hoya on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 26-24, 25-21.

Nathan Lopez paced Smidt Tech's offense, picking up 15 kills. Lopez also shared the team's lead in assists with Gio Lopez: they picked up nine each.

Smidt Tech has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Animo De La Hoya, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Smidt Tech will head out to square off against Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Grey Wolves are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Animo De La Hoya, they will welcome Stern at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Boxers surely won't give up without a fight.
