Despite the defeat, Bryan Lopez Rodriguez was still locked in as he scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. As if that's not impressive enough, the match was his third in a row with one or more stolen bases. For the season, he has slashed 0.333/0.700/0.556 with 7 runs.

Even though Lopez Rodriguez couldn't lead Mt. Pleasant over Gunderson, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Pleasant has some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
