Volleyball Recap: Providence Day Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Providence Day saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Millbrook Wildcats.

Providence Day was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23.

Nina Geathers paced Providence Day's offense, picking up seven kills. Geathers got some help from Ella Buelow and her 16 assists.

Millbrook's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Lanzieri, who had 12 digs and one assist. Lanzieri is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Providence Day dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Millbrook, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Providence Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against North Raleigh Christian Academy on the 22nd. As for Millbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Wake Christian Academy on the 22nd.
