The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Indian Hill nor Reading made it on the board until the eighth inning. The Braves skirted past the Blue Devils 5-4. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered a 7-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rebekah Burroughs was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over eight innings pitched. Burroughs was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zoey Glenn, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Indian Hill's record now sits at 3-1. As for Reading, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Hill will challenge Walnut Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reading, they will welcome Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
