Baseball Game Preview: Delmar Wildcats vs. Bennett Clippers

The Delmar Wildcats will challenge the Bennett Clippers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Delmar beat Lake Forest 15-10. The Wildcats have beaten the Spartans the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Spartans has come to flipping the script.

Connor Nichols was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jason Smullen, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Bennett got the win against North Caroline on Thursday by a conclusive 18-8.
