Recap: Southern Wake Academy Lions vs. Chatham Charter Knights
This season hasn't been kind to the Southern Wake Academy Lions, who are still winless after their 12th match. They had to suffer through a rough 64-13 loss at the hands of Chatham Charter. Southern Wake Academy has not had much luck with Chatham Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meah Brooks was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points for Chatham Charter. Another player making a difference was Hannah Headen, who scored 14 points.
Southern Wake Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Chatham Charter, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Wake Academy will take on Woods Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chatham Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against River Mill at 6:00 p.m. River Mill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while Chatham Charter is ranked 138th).
