Basketball Recap: Harvey Takes a Loss

Harvey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Westhope/Newburg Sioux, falling 63-38. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Sioux are ranked ninth).

Dayton Hawkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Westhope/Newburg, going 7-for-13 en route to 19 points. The contest was Hawkins' third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Will Artz, who posted ten points.

Harvey's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Westhope/Newburg, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.

As of now, neither Harvey nor Westhope/Newburg have any future games scheduled.
