Brady Saxton gave up the fewest walks he has since back in April of 2024 on Saturday. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Northwest Rankin is 2-0-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-12 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Saxton and Northwest Rankin will face off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last time Saxton took on the Wildcats, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk).
