Basketball Recap: Wind River Comes Up Short

If Wind River was feeling good fresh off their 69-23 takedown of Wright on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wind River Cougars were dealt a 76-44 loss at the hands of the Big Horn Rams on Saturday. The Cougars have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Wind River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Big Horn, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

After both having extra time off, Wind River and Greybull will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Big Horn, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hot Springs County at 2:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Hot Springs County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Big Horn surely won't give up without a fight.
