Basketball Recap: Griffin Academy Takes a Loss

If Griffin Academy was riding high fresh off their 65-35 takedown of Kairos Public on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Griffins took a blow against Envision Academy on Friday, falling 75-35.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Envision Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than MALIK MCKenzie, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 18 boards. MCKenzie has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Chuka ACHINULO, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 22 rebounds.

Griffin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Griffin Academy will head out to challenge Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Envision Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Tennyson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
