Softball Recap: Tunkhannock Triumphs

Tunkhannock proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Chardon Hilltoppers 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Addisyn Waterman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lucy Karp, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Tunkhannock's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Chardon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tunkhannock is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Morgantown at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Chardon, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Riverside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
