Softball Recap: Silver's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Silver has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.6 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alamogordo Tigers. The contest marked the Fighting Colts' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mia Sanchez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Lucero, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Silver's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver will host Carlsbad at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
