Baseball Recap: Paramus Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Regional hit Paramus Catholic with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knght Paladins took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Knights. The Knght Paladins have struggled against the Green Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Tillman Schroeder was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

At the plate, Paramus Catholic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Petros Rouggeris, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Paramus Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for St. Joseph Regional, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 18-4.
