Baseball Recap: West Jessamine Comes Up Short

West Jessamine was the 8-7 winner over Tates Creek when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts fell just short of the Commodores by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Jessamine got a good showing from Landon Davis, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Davis has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Milholland was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mavrick Napier, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

West Jessamine's loss dropped their record down to 12-24. As for Tates Creek, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-15.

West Jessamine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tates Creek, they will take on North Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
