Basketball Game Preview: Mount Pleasant Tigers vs. North Rowan Cavaliers

The Mount Pleasant Tigers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the North Rowan Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Mount Pleasant's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.

On Tuesday, Mount Pleasant took their matchup with ease, bagging a 67-29 win over Gray Stone Day. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Knights are ranked 648th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Rowan hadn't done well against Thomasville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. North Rowan claimed a resounding 90-43 victory over Thomasville. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 28 points or more this season.

Mount Pleasant has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for North Rowan, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
