Softball Recap: Hauser Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Hauser rose to the challenge on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Oldenburg Academy Twisters. The Jets haven't had any issues with the Twisters recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Haven Hartwell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Lucie Asher was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Hauser's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Oldenburg Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Hauser will face off against Crothersville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oldenburg Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
