Football Recap: Fayette County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fayette County and Alexandria squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Fayette County had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Valley Cubs and fell 47-20. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since October 18, 2024.

Fayette County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jeremiah Stowe, who rushed for 59 yards and one score on only six carries, and also threw for 78 yards and one TD on only five passes. Another player making a difference was Maurice Harris, who rushed for 67 yards and one touchdown.

Fayette County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. As for Alexandria, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Fayette County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alexandria, they will take on Plainview at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Valley Cubs will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten games.
