Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame suffered their closest loss since July 16, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Roland-Story Norsemen by a score of 3-1.

Notre Dame has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Roland-Story, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Coming up, Roland-Story will take on Kee at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Notre Dame will be paying especially close attention to the Norsemen's game: after the Norsemen face off against the Kee Hawks, they'll take on Notre Dame again at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
