Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Chichester walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Strath Haven Panthers on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Gavin Derrickson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Derrickson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Derrickson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cole Sanford, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Logan Werley was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Chichester's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Strath Haven, they dropped their record down to 8-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Chichester nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
