It was close but no cigar for Devils Lake/Minnewaukan as they fell 15-17 to St. Mary's Central last week.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Valley City beat Wahpeton 26-20. The success made it back-to-back wins for Valley City.
