Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Manvel Mavericks. On the bright side, the 57- point performance marked the Lions' highest-scoring game to date.

When it comes to explaining why Spring lost, don't look at Jaylan Tran. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and five rebounds. Tran is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Richard Gant, who had eight points and six boards.

Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Manvel, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Spring wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-59 win against Killeen on the 5th. As for Manvel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-30 loss against Martin on the 5th.
