Football Recap: Symmes Valley Vikings vs. Eastern Eagles

If Symmes Valley was riding high fresh off their 42-12 takedown of Green last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Symmes Valley Vikings lost 53-29 to the Eastern Eagles on Friday. The Vikings lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-0 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eric Manley Jr., who threw for 509 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 16.4 yards per attempt. With that strong performance, Manley Jr. is now averaging an impressive 3.3 passing touchdowns per game. Tucker Leist did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 236 receiving yards.
