Volleyball Recap: Prince Avenue Christian Takes a Loss

Prince Avenue Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Oconee County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 22-25, 15-8.

Despite the defeat, Prince Avenue Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brenna Smith had 23 digs and one assist. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Smith.

Oconee County was led to victory by Cameron Webb and Sidney Tranel. Webb had 15 digs and three aces, while Tranel had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Tranel has posted over her last nine matchups.

Prince Avenue Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Oconee County, they pushed their record up to 30-12 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Prince Avenue Christian has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Mount Vernon on the 2nd. As for Oconee County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Academy of Richmond County on the 2nd.
