Basketball Recap: Hagerty Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Hagerty won the last time they faced Seabreeze, and Asa Kohn did his part to make sure it happened again. The Hagerty Huskies blew past the Seabreeze Sandcrabs 79-53 on Saturday thanks in part to Kohn, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 26 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Several Sandcrabs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adrian Brown, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Casto, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

With the win, Hagerty broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7. As for Seabreeze, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Hagerty will square off against Lake Howell at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Howell will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Hagerty surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seabreeze, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crescent City at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
