Basketball Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights fell just short of the Blue Eagles by a score of 63-60 on Friday. The Knights have struggled against the Blue Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Central, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lathrop at 7:00 p.m. on January 16, 2026. Central will take on East Buchanan in a holiday battle at 1:15 p.m. on Monday.
