Basketball Recap: Uniontown's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Uniontown played against Meadville on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Uniontown's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelan Milsom, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Grooms, who posted ten points.

Meadville had a senior duo take command as Jack Burchard almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards and Lucas Luteran went 8-for-14 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. Burchard also brought in his first three-point shooting accuracy of the season. Tykie Butler also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Uniontown's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.2 points over those games. As for Meadville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Uniontown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Meadville has already played their next game (against Hershey), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
