Basketball Recap: Scott Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kelsey Harper and Rikki Bailey

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 57-44 to the Logan Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Skyhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-46 back in January.

Rikki Bailey and Kelsey Harper certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Bailey went 5 of 11 on her way to 17 points, while Harper dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Harper has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Logan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott will host Poca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott is facing Poca at the right time seeing as Poca is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Logan has already played their next game (against Wyoming East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
