Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Escondido Charter's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

While Escondido Charter didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Horizon Prep Lions on Saturday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

OLIVE JOHNSON paced Escondido Charter's offense, picking up six kills. JOHNSON got some help from EMMA LYON and her 13 assists. AUDREY CAHILL controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Escondido Charter has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Horizon Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Escondido Charter has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Canyon Hills on the 6th. Horizon Prep has also already played their next match (against Coastal Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
