Basketball Recap: Shields Panthers vs. McKenzie Tigers        
        
		
            
 The Shields Panthers lost to the McKenzie Tigers  last Tuesday, but the Shields Panthers didn't allow the McKenzie Tigers the same satisfaction on Friday. Shields enjoyed a cozy  63-49 win over the Tigers.
 Shields got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Dante Leffall out in front who  scored 20 points along with two  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Leffall has scored all season.  Jalance Kimbrough was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with six  assists and three  steals.
 McKenzie's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jay Jackson, who  scored 27 points along with eight  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Jaylen Mcmillian, who  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds.
 Shields' win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for McKenzie, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
 Shields' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Panthers at 7:00  p.m.  on February 5th. Georgiana has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,089 points over their last 15 matches. McKenzie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
