Volleyball Recap: Rayden Inong's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Silverado over Green Valley

If Silverado was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Spring Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silverado Skyhawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Valley Gators on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22.

Silverado's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rayden Inong, who had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Inong has posted since back in April of 2024.

Silverado's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Green Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Silverado will square off against Durango at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Green Valley, they will head out to face off against Basic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
