Recap: Milan Indians vs. Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles
On Friday, The Milan Indians got themselves on the board against the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles, but the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 46-0 victory over the Golden Eagles on the road. Given Milan's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Cambridge City Lincoln is ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Austin Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Green was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Logan Burton was in the mix too, providing Milan with two touchdowns.
Milan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Milan will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tri at 7:00 p.m. Tri is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Cambridge City Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
