Softball Recap: Patterson Beats Morgan City for Their Third Straight Victory

Patterson entered their tilt with Morgan City on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jada Finister was a standout: she scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Grogan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Patterson's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Morgan City, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Patterson will square off against Centerville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Morgan City, they will face off against Central Lafourche at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
