Softball Recap: Redington Huskies vs. Ketchikan Kings

Redington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 22-2 walloping at the hands of the Ketchikan Kings.

For Ketchikan's part, Kari Klinger and Marley Lewis did most of the damage at the plate: Klinger went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple, while Lewis scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Taylor Jackson was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Redington's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Ketchikan, they pushed their record up to 9-2-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
