Basketball Recap: Concordia Takes a Loss

Concordia lost against Lincoln Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Concordia Mustangs were outmatched by the Lincoln Christian Crusaders and fell 67-20. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Concordia saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emersyn Spurgeon posted six points and six rebounds.

Concordia has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Lincoln Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.

Concordia has already played their next contest, a 65-28 victory against Tekamah-Herman on the 25th. As for Lincoln Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 80-17 win against Doniphan-Trumbull on the 25th.
