Basketball Game Preview: Westwood Warriors vs. Dobson Mustangs

The Westwood Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Dobson Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Westwood was beaten by Mesa 62-32. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Jackrabbits recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Dobson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 52-34 fall against Red Mountain. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 40th).

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Dobson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Westwood was taken down by Dobson 61-17 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Westwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
