Basketball Recap: Van Buren County Comes Up Short

Van Buren County lost against West Liberty back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Van Buren County Warriors received a blow as they fell 60-43 to the West Liberty Comets. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Van Buren County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for West Liberty, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Van Buren County will take on Danville in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Liberty, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Keokuk at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Liberty is facing Keokuk at the right time seeing as Keokuk is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
