Christian Heritage is 6-1 against Southwest Covenant since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Christian Heritage Crusaders are taking a road trip to challenge the Southwest Covenant Patriots at 4:30 p.m.

Last Monday, Christian Heritage didn't have quite enough to beat Metro Christian and fell 2-1. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southwest Covenant, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 8-3 last Thursday.

Gavyn Beshears spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Southwest Covenant is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tate Flanary, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Nick Armitage also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Southwest Covenant now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Christian Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Christian Heritage took their win against Southwest Covenant in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4. Does Christian Heritage have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southwest Covenant turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
