DeKalb can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Huntington North Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Barons also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

DeKalb had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-23, 30-28, 25-17.

DeKalb's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Huntington North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. DeKalb will take on rival Norwell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Huntington North is set to square off against their familiar foe East Noble at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
