Baseball Game Preview: Golden Demons vs. Denver South Ravens

The Golden Demons are taking a road trip to challenge the Denver South Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Golden will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Golden was able to grind out a solid win over Lewis-Palmer, taking the game 5-2.

Sawyer Brinkman tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaydon Stroup was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Casali, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Golden lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, Denver South beat Littleton 9-4 on Saturday.

Golden's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Denver South, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4.

Golden took their win against Denver South in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
