Gate City needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight matches and they got it from Sophie Webb. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Twin Springs Titans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Webb, who had 24 assists and one block. She has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 15 times she's played.

Gate City was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-21.

Gate City's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Twin Springs, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gate City will take on Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Twin Springs, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thomas Walker at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
