Volleyball Recap: Lake Highlands Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Lake Highlands dropped to 6-5 on Tuesday, ending the team's nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the McKinney North Bulldogs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Parker Horton paced Lake Highlands' offense, picking up six kills. Horton got some help from Carrigan Anderly and her eight assists. Elle Holley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for McKinney North, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Malia McNeal was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 assists and ten digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Lake Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Seminole Ridge on the 28th. As for McKinney North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Grapevine on the 29th.
