Softball Recap: Judge Memorial Catholic Takes a Loss

Judge Memorial Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 21-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rowland Hall Winged Lions. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Emma Terhaar stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. Rylie Vigil was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double.

Judge Memorial Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Rowland Hall, they moved to 2-16 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Judge Memorial Catholic will host Providence Hall at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Rowland Hall, they will welcome Ben Lomond at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
