Softball Recap: Soledad Comes Up Short

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Soledad was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to the Alisal Trojans. The Aztecs have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Soledad saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maria Villarruel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Soledad's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for Alisal, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Soledad wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against North Salinas on the 7th. As for Alisal, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Carmel on the 7th.
