Softball Recap: Millard Takes a Loss

Millard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-4 to Duchesne. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Millard of the 17-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Millard saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Berkley Stephens, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Millard's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Duchesne, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Millard will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Summit at 3:30 p.m. on April 7. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Duchesne, they will venture away from home to take on Beaver at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
