Hertford County proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 34) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by the Pasquotank County Panthers 26-25. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 20-7 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.
Hertford County was led to victory by Ayden Everette and Jalen Burnell. Everette rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns, while Burnell picked up 83 receiving yards and one TD. The Bears are undefeated when Everette posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
When it comes to explaining why Pasquotank County lost, don't look at Jayon Harris. Despite the final result, he rushed for 90 yards and one score.
