Softball Recap: Clifton Comes Up Short

Clifton fell victim to Paramus Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knght Paladins. The Mustangs have struggled against the Knght Paladins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Clifton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Mullen, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that Mullen has snagged this season.

Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Paramus Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clifton will square off against Passaic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.4 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Paramus Catholic, they will take on Academy of the Holy A at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Angels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.2 runs per game on average), something the Knght Paladins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
