Soccer Game Preview: Rocky River vs. East Mecklenburg

Rocky River is 0-10 against East Mecklenburg since April of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Rocky River duke it out with East Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Rocky River is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Garinger.

Meanwhile, East Mecklenburg entered their game against Providence on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. East Mecklenburg fell just short of Providence by a score of 2-1. East Mecklenburg have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Isla Hess, which was the first she's scored this season.

East Mecklenburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Rocky River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-2.
