Sunset put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Somerset College Prepartory Academy South Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Patriots are ranked 641st).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunset to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alejandro Gonzalez, who posted 16 points and four steals. Gonzalez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Brandon Luis was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Sunset smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Somerset College Prepartory Academy South still got an impressive performance from Diego Loaiza, who scored 21 points and seven boards. That was a full 45.7% of the Patriots' points, marking the third time in a row Loaiza has earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mario Barrios, who had ten points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Sunset's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Somerset College Prepartory Academy South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Sunset wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-49 defeat against St. Brendan on the 12th. Somerset College Prepartory Academy South has also already played their next game (against Somerset Academy South Homestead), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
