Basketball Recap: Dennis Lynch's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Socastee over Carolina Forest

Socastee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 78-52 to the Carolina Forest Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Braves have suffered against the Panthers since January 18, 2022.

Socastee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dennis Lynch, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Sams, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Zechariah Gardner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carolina Forest, going 12 of 15 en route to 27 points. JJ Gray was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points.

Socastee's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Carolina Forest, their record now sits at 12-4.

Socastee has already played their next contest, a 62-41 victory against North Myrtle Beach on the 31st. As for Carolina Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-55 loss against St. James on the 31st.
