Volleyball Recap: Osborne Takes a Loss

Osborne lost against Trego on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The 2-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Osborne lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Osborne saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gentrie Riner had 19 digs. Those 19 digs set a new season-high mark for Riner.

Osborne's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Trego, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Osborne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Natoma on the 16th. As for Trego, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Ellis on the 16th.
